About Reveries

“To see the world in a grain of sand,

And heaven in a wild flower,

Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,

And Eternity in an hour.”

- William Blake

Mine are trivial pursuits. I don’t cure the sick, or implement justice, or provide care for the less fortunate. No thirst is quenched by my paintings - I dig no wells.

My station in life is a gift, given by the doctors and the lawyers and the well diggers. They provide the infrastructure and care that allows me to create art, and the means with which to live. Yet this support is not without dividends, however modest they may be.

The work I render observes small moments, inconsequential moments, and isolates them from the flickering procession of stimulus in our lives. This is my return; to reveal that which I have the time and ability to see.

“Once in a while

you get shown the light,

In the strangest of places,

If you look at it right.”

- Robert Hunter
